The Slow And Aware Movement

Multi-handed Ceremonial Massage

The Slow & Aware initiative invites people to slow down, step out of their busy minds and return home in to their bodies.

We specialise in several-hour or full-day multi-handed ceremonial massages, rooted in a radically slow form of the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi tradition. We call it Lomi Lohi, Lohi simply meaning slow.

We believe we are part of a quiet revolution—helping reawaken a collective, somatic healing modality that may one day be as culturally significant as holotropic breathwork, EMDR, or Somatic Experiencing. A kind of penicillin for the nervous system—natural, gentle, and deeply regulating.

We've been enlisted by Time Out as 'one of the best massages in London', won various awards, and had the honour of treating people like Mooji, Neil Gaiman, Grammy Awarded artists, Jamie Catto, Amanda Palmer, dj Mose, Caz Coronel and Mira Khanya, Sam Garrett, Susie Ro, Antarma, Staci Haines, Dr. Rosalind Watts, Dr. Carl Hayden Smith and Dr. Chris Timmermann.

Despite our sessions often referred to as the 'DMT of massages' and people regularly entering into altered and non-dual states during our sessions, our principles and promises are simple: as providers, we are present in our bodies, we are slow, and we hold the single intention of offering an embodied experience of safety for the recipient.

We will be offering 30-60min long 4- and 6-handed sessions during the festival. Aloha!
